Headed back to reality today. Back up to the yummy cold!
Buddy chills in the pool drink cooler with me and my dad. *note: I am wearing a swimsuit, it just has a bandeau top.
Buddy didn’t like the trip so much. We had to cram him into this little wheeled carrier so that he could fit under the seat on the plane ride back. I think it’s kind of weird that they even let dogs ride in the cabin at all. Anyway we got him in there and he just chilled in there, kind of squirmy, but didn’t bark or whine or anything. He’s got a pretty good disposition, but he was still like, “what the heck did I do to deserve being put in here!?!?!” He was much cuter in the pool, don’t you think?
This morning I went on a way early sunrise hot air balloon ride! My dad has wanted to go on one for as long as I can remember and so this weekend he just decided it was time. It was so amazing.
Right after that we got right in. Emilie was a little scared, but I was leaning over the edge and taking it all in. Don’t think I mentioned that I am in the desert right now. My dad has a place down here (and before him his parent’s and their parent’s). I haven’t been here since my grandparents passed away actually, and my grandfather passed four years ago. It’s amazing to see how much it’s grown, esspcially from the air. I tried not to be mad about the misuse of water too much and mostly just took in the mountains, beautiful.

Well no actually they are in this huge bowl downstairs. Here is a sampling of my “romantic” dinner for our anniversary:
I can not handle noodles. They always get the best of me. Like the time I made some baby-sitting kids mac and cheese, only put the cheese in and then drained the noodles (still thanks for eating my special “white mac” kids!). This time it was a serious lack of judgement in how much a box of noodles actually swells up to. Hey, it’s not my fault… I don’t like many things with noodles (that’s right I don’t like Italian food, so sue me), so I haven’t had much experience. So I went to get my laundry out of the washing machine and there was a diet coke can in the mix. Hmm…. maybe the laundry gods are tryign to tell me something.
I had my first kiss and I knew it was true love (well okay, I didn’t then, but I was super excited to get my first kiss and I DO know it’s true love now)!
I was pretty much laughing way to hard on all the others. Is this shirt sick or what? So I’ll give away my source. Jinx has awesome t-shirts for hackers and gamers. That’s where I got the “geek” t-shirt. I have been waiting to show this until I actually had people commenting so it would be funny instead of just sad. Hehehe. Some more shots:

Yes… I have my Superman underware on!!! Smallville premire in less than an hour. I am in full hyper running around mode. Ahhhh. Clark are you gonna tell Chloe? Are you going to fly. OMG I can’t stand the wait!

And over to the Ribbon Jar world. People have been asking me for medium, large, and jumbo sized ric-rac. Yay! It came yesterday. I stayed up until two putting its yummy goodness into the system. It’s in my new catagory now, and also the ric-rac section, it’s permenent home. You know I have one thing in there that no one has ordered, it’s the stretchy ric-rac. I just don’t get it. It’s so cool. I mean it’s zig-zaggy and stretchy. These are definatey two requirements to coolness. Hmm. I also got more of the hot pink velvet in, um… YUM. I think I am going to order a lots more colors of velvet in tinier sizes, it’s a little easier to work with. Any thoughts on this?
In other news I’ve become an eBay genius. Well maybe not genius, but I’ve defiately been upgraded from total dumbass who can’t figure out anything. 🙂 I was working on this:
I so want to make one of these for me. I think it would be too funny to see ten years of me in Halloween costums in a row. I managed to list this on my own right here. So then I got to thinking that if I could list that I could certainly manage to list some other stuff I have lying around. I listed some old software and 17 back issuses of Nutshell News (LOLOLOLOL) what can I say, I had a miniture phase. I also listed the super soft blankie from the Ribbon Jar home page and this post. I really wanted to keep it, but I think keeping baby stuff before you’re actually trying to get prego is bad luck. And it’s too tiny for me to use, but it’s so so soft! So I feel like I got a ton done yesterday and that feels good.
*Your comments were so sweet on the Bj post. I was trying to think of lots of good thoughts for him because he had an unfortunate puking on a plane and all day incident on his first business trip. He’s feeling lots better now, yay!
