No, it’s can’t be true! It’s finally happened, the winning powerball ticket is from Oregon baby!!! The state that totally rules (in my opinion) and no one from here has EVER won before! So listen there are only 3,594,586 people in Oregon. Not all of those people bought lottery tickets, but a lot of people I know did. Please let it be one of those people that won. That would be soo sooo cool. (I’m not just saying this because I want your money, I don’t, but a little somethig something, like oh, a Ford Mustang, would be awesome). Not only did we win the 340 million jackpot, but four Oregonians won 200,000 each for matching the five numbers. Yes gambling is bad 🙁 But winning is good people, good.
p.s. no it’s not me I only checked my numbers like a trillion times.

Somebody listen to me PLEASE!
Totally scrapbook related so if you have no interest in that kind of thing, just skip it.
Ok, I usually don’t get into stuff like this, people can buy what they want to buy. But in my opinion buying this:

is so so not what I would do. I’m going to let you in on a secret. This is almost the exact same thing as a Speedball Linocutter. Which are cheap. This Basic Grey tool (side note I totally love and want absolutely everything else that they make) retails for 26.99 at the one place I could find a price (but they are sold out). Listen to me people if you want one of those get this:
Now I have never actually used THIS one (with 10 tips for 9.99), but hey these things are meant for linoleum so they will truck their way through paper no problem.
All these links are from Dick Blick art materials. I’ve ordered from them a bunch (way too much) and they are great. If you still want the Basic Grey tool that’s okay I’ll still love you! But I just thought I would throw this out there. You can thank me by spending the money you saved at Ribbon Jar. Hehehehe.
Thanks Bill!
My step-dad Bill helped me check some things off my to do list yesterday that had been on there for a while. A new ribbon rack and this cool thing got put up.

Can you believe this wire basket was headed to Goodwill (Bill!), luckily my mom and I rescued it, she spray painted it black (the best way to fix anything I tell ya) and he helped me hang it. See that super wide grosgrain, the orange and yellow one? That is like one of my most fav ribbons EVER and no one has ordered it. I don’t get it. I just don’t. Sorry little rant. Any way. So after the new racks went up I changed everything to rainbow order instead of size.

I so love it this way. It’s more how I think anyway, so I think it will make me pull orders even quicker (even though you know I’m already super fly).
Other stuff:
-I put two new things up on eBay, a Halloween by the years album (someone asked me to do another one and I can’t find your email, so if this is you go look!) and a girly girl lunch pail. I really wish I would have gotten more lunch pails when I was in so cal. There were so many at their Micheal’s that they were dusty.
-Depeche Mode’s new album came out today. You have to check out this song: Precious (yes it’s from a Smallville episode. God I am just so addicted to that show. You’re hot Tom Welling, hot).
-I lost a pound! Go ballet class go! Oh and walking with my parent’s probably helped too.
-Tom Welling is hot! Proof:
If I saw Tom in real life I would probably faint. And then he would lean over to make sure I was okay and then I would rip off his shirt to feel his abs!
Edited to add: my mom thinks he looks like, well I can’t even say, but horrible basically and my brother thinks he looks like he’s on drugs. Someone back me up on his hotness here! Anyone?
Inspiration and…. the coolest thing I’ve seen in like a whole month!
Okay so I was perusing my normal round of blogs and came across a challenge on Donna Downey’s. I figured it was the perfect thing to get me moving today since I was kind of thinking aimlessly about scrapbooking with out much direction. It was to make a layout inspired by linear curves. Here’s my take:
It was kind of rough to put together and I used an apparently toxic combination of diamond glaze, undo, stayzon ink, and paint pens because my craft area smells like butt. But I like it. I did go a little text crazy. I think I should have used this in some kind of text challenge instead of linear curves, but I was trying to convey talking, so I hope this works. Besides the smelly stuff I used: Chatterbox fabric words, lots of mm rubons, and some black letter stickers (but I need a bigger E I think, any suggestions?), 7 gypsies layers, Technique Tuesday stamp, and of course Ribbon Jar ribbon (no, really? :>).
In other, and far cooler news, you MUST check out this link. I don’t think people click on all the cool links that I put in here but this is a must! Sciarrino sent it to me so I can’t take all the credit:
freaking awesome postage stamps! Ok was that totally awesome? I only LOVE postage stamps and save them for years so I’ll have the perfect one for a letter down the road (just ask Kaitlyn who got my five year old Screenwriting stamp after she got into a writing grad school program). This is like all my dreams coming true! Well not all, but a lot of them. I am so giving these as presents this year!!!
Oh and the journaling for the layout: "Remember in our novice 8 when I just talked to you? Now our conversations are almost unending. I love how we free flow from scrapbooking to Harry Potter to Tom Welling and his hotness (one thing we will never argue about). So move to Salem already these phone bills are getting a little out of hand!"
I’m not saying he’s not crazy…

but MJ can beat anyone in a dance off!!! You need proof? Download the Bad video and witness some extreme dance fighting. It really is fantastic stuff. All that leather and buckles, ah MJ why’d you have to go get all pshyco on us? I mean I still have the Thriller LP from when you were black! So yes iTunes has videos. Anyone wanna get me an iTunes allowence, because I think this is sweeeeet. And I heard a rumor that Madonna is going to have a limited edition nano. You heard me correctly… MADONNA, in my opinion one of the most fantastic women on earth. It’s going to come will ALL her music on it. Of course I called Ceara right away so I could tell someone who could relate.
In other news I cropped last night at Scrapbook Attack. Angela, her friend, and Beachwood were there. I got a bunch done, but not quite finished, so I’ll post when I do.
I’m obsessed with my QuicKutz, yes I am…
Okay Sue this is what I did for each alphabet:

It took forever, but it was so worth it. I love seeing how big each letter is going to be, exactly what each one looks like, ect. Plus it’s so handy to get straight to the alphabet. Ahhh, organization, love being a Virgo. 🙂

Generations

Me, my aunt, my mom, and my grandma. Aren’t we hot! 🙂
In honor of my grandma’s impending birthday (which is Thursday) we all got together in Portland for some lunch, shopping, and most talking. I love hanging out with my mom her mom and her sister, seriously, if you were the couple sitting behind us in the little french bistro, how did you not laugh at us? We are so witty! At least we think we are and crack each other up, and that’s all that matters. Ok I won’t give away your age grandma, but reminder to all, I’m 25… doesn’t she look young! I think so. Grandma got some fab shoes for her birthday:

The ones being pointed to on her left foot. I got some awesome earrings, they are like nesting rings. I’m wearing them in the picture above, might have to take a better one. We ended up chatting way late and my mom and I were rushing back so I could get out the orders today. Another order from New Zealand. Wish I could just pack myself in the box… Instead I worked on re-vamping the ideas page. So check out Sherry Stevenson’s work. She was October’s designer. I also attempted to redo the home page, but I am afraid to make major changes due to my lack of HTML knowledge. Bj found one thing for me I think you’ll understand, even if it is in French…
Kick butt Harry Potter Fonts!!!! Free baby, free.
(Jamie, please tell me you didn’t know about this before me, since you told me about the trailer I have to one up you on something!)
As we all well know the release of the next movie is of course only 37 days, 13 hours, and 35 minuets away as of this writing. I’m thinking about my costume. Maybe out doing ourselves from the book launch? What do you think Sciarrino? Hope these fonts get you in the mood!
p.s. click on the top 100 button on that font page to see all of dafont’s rockin stuff.
It’s crazy around here
So I just poured a glass of water on my little brother’s head. Sorry about that Taylor! But seriously I thought it only had a few drops in it, so it was an accident, well the ammount was. But he laughed and I cleaned up his dishes for him so it all works out!
Guess what else? My mom and I are wearing pink tights and black leotards right now… for real. Since the only kind of working out I’ve even enjoyed is dance (besides weight-lifting with you Ceara, but I don’t think that really counted since I was only lifting a broomstick), I’ve decided to go back to my roots. My little sister is taking community ballet so my mom and I are joining her in about thirty minuets. K, gotta go get my hair in a bun!
